Lykorema History-Tradition

Petalioi Complex
The district of Marmari includes the complex of Petalioi islands. A complex of nine small islands that extend between Good Coast (Lafia) and White Coast (Paximada), which form the small bay of Marmaris. The settlement Panagia is located in the Great Island of Petalioi.

History - Tradition
During the Turkish occupation the islands were the estate of Omer Bey of Karystinli which obtained after donation of the Turkish Admiral Topal Pasha.
